Syngene adapted quickly to the ‘new normal’ of living with COVID-19. At a time when laboratories worldwide remained closed, Syngene labs continued to operate — though only at 50% capacity in keeping with social distancing norms.
As a result, we not only ensured the continuity of our existing business operations but also forged new partnerships and alliances using information communication technologies.
Our three-pronged strategy to combat COVID-19 was as follows:

COVID-19 affected us in a way none of us could have imagined pre-pandemic. Working from home, social distancing, and being in quarantine became the new normal. For every company and individual, it was a struggle to adapt to this reality.
It was then that the idea of a live-chat series was born. The aim was to enable collaboration and unfettered exchange of ideas, albeit virtually, to ensure the continued progress of science.
The first Live-Chat series, ‘Putting Science to Work,’ was launched in April 2020. Hosted by Syngene leaders, the entire series involved 45-minute discussions on topics of importance to scientists and the scientific community to help them move forward during those difficult times.
The Live-Chat series initiative was a resounding success and continues even today under a new avatar — Syngene webinars and Fireside chats in partnership with clients and partners.
